Brackley Beach, PEI National Park
Location: Green Gables Shore
Supervised Beach: Yes
Brackley Beach is a popular beach destination located only 20 minutes from Charlottetown with majestic dunes, clear water, and miles of pristine sand.
Brackley Beach is equipped with washrooms, change room facilities and accessibility features, including a ramp, mobility mats and designated parking. Beach wheelchairs and buoyant beach chairs are available by reservation. Surfguard services are provided in July and August. All are encouraged to be citizen scientists by visiting the onsite “Coastie” station. Take a photo of the coastal landscape, share it on social media with #CoastiePEINP or upload at coastiecanada.ca to help us track coastal erosion.
Of note for hikers and cyclists are the trailheads for the Robinsons Island Trail System (RITS) and the very popular Gulf Shore Way East multiuse trail. This smooth, paved trail twins the roadway for 12km all the way to Dalvay.
An entrance fee applies at PEI National Park locations from June to September.
Visitors should note that dogs and other pets are not permitted on national park beaches from April 1 to October 15 annually. Please plan ahead!
National Park Beach Safety
Lifeguards are on duty at PEI National Park locations between July and Labour Day. They aim to post surf conditions each day by 11 am.
